En triologi skapad av Godery Reggio med musik komponerad av Philip Glass. Koyaanisqatsi
skapade en ny form av film då den kom 1982; utan berättarröst låter Godery musiken och
bilderna tala. Faktiskt riktigt vackert och träffande. Varje film har tagit tema och titel från
hopi-indianernas språk.
Koyaanisqatsi: Life out of balance 1982 [ ko.yaa.nis.katsi ]
1. crazy life. 2. life in turmoil. 3. life disintegrating. 4. life out of balance.
5. a state of life that calls for another way of living.
Powaqqatsi: Life in Transformation 1988 [ po.waq.qatsi ]
1. sorcerer life, an entity, a way of life that consumes the life forces of
other beings in order to further its own life.
Naqoyqatsi: Life as War 2002 [ Na-qoy-qatsi ]
1. A life of killing each other 2. War as a way of life. 3. (Interpreted) Civilized violence.
